Brandon David Servos (English Fiction)

Brandon David Servos is a Singaporean writer who has recently graduated from the National University of Singapore with a degree in English Literature. He has contributed to The Sengkang Sci-Fi Quarterly and Margins. In the University of Michigan’s 2025 Hopwood Awards, he received First Place in Undergraduate Nonfiction, and Fourth Place in the Novel. His research and writing interests revolve around how gothic style can be used to express the postcolonial affective state.

Grace Lim In Chee (English Fiction)

Grace Lim In Chee is a bilingual prose writer working in English and Mandarin. Her creative journey began at age ten with a classroom tale about a psychopathic vampire. It was then that her introverted self realised she could write instead of talk. A typical INFP, she explores whatever catches her fancy, utilising romance and character-driven plots as a journalistic mainframe for the greater human experience. She is currently working on her first speculative novel, CAESURA.

Jia Yuchen (Chinese Fiction)

贾宇晨，1995年生于中国哈尔滨，2012年通过SM2奖学金项目来到新加坡，从此定居狮城 。他是一名数据分析师，同时对短篇小说怀有热情。他曾获得大专文学奖优秀奖，并于近期组织过一场关于东北文学的分享会。

Jia Yuchen, born in 1995 in Harbin, China, came to Singapore in 2012 through a scholarship program. Working as a data analyst by profession, he has a deep passion for short stories. He received an Excellence Award in the College Literature Award and has organised a sharing session on Northeastern Chinese literature.

Yang Yaqi (Chinese Fiction)

曾获新加坡大专文学奖小说组一等奖及二等奖，获奖作品入选《文字现象2024》，并曾于《源》杂志发表诗歌作品。现就读于新加坡国立大学，主修商业管理，副修中文。对小说创作兴趣浓厚。

Yang Yaqi was awarded First and Second Prize in the Fiction Category of the Singapore Tertiary Chinese Literature Awards. One of her award-winning works was selected for inclusion in Literary Phenomena (文字现象) 2024. Her poetry has also been published in Yuan (源) magazine. She is currently majoring in Business Administration at National University of Singapore, with a minor in Chinese Studies. Her primary literary interest lies in fiction writing.

Fathima Riswana Sulthan (Tamil Fiction)

தமிழ் வாசிப்புப் பழக்கமும்,எழுத்தும் எப்போதும் என்னைக் கவர்ந்திருக்கின்றன.கடந்த சில ஆண்டுகளாக சிறுகதைகளும்,நூல் அறிமுகங்களும் எழுதி வருகிறேன்.சிங்கப்பூர் தமிழ் எழுத்தாளர் கழகத்தின் மாதாந்திர 'கதைக்களம்' போட்டியில் பங்குபெற்று வருகிறேன்.என் நூல் அறிமுகங்கள் தமிழ் முரசு மற்றும் சிராங்கூன் டைம்ஸ் இதழ்களில் வெளிவந்துள்ளன.எழுத்து என்பது மனித உணர்வுகளையும்,அன்றாட வாழ்வின் தொடர்ச்சியான போராட்டங்களையும் வெளிப்படுத்தும் வழி என நம்புகிறேன்.இந்த வழிகாட்டுதல் திட்டத்தின் மூலம் என் எழுத்தை வளர்த்துக்கொண்டு,கதைகளை ஆழமாக வடிவமைக்க விரும்புகிறேன்.

I have always been drawn to Tamil through reading and writing. Over the past few years, I have been writing short stories and book reviews, participating in monthly Kathaikalam competitions. My book reviews have been published in Tamil Murasu and Serangoon Times. Writing, for me, is a way to explore human emotions and the quiet struggles of everyday life. I am joining this mentorship to grow as a writer and learn how to shape my stories with greater depth and intention.

Jaikumar Priya (Tamil Fiction)

கடந்த பதினைந்து வருடங்களாகச் சிங்கப்பூரில் வசித்து வருகிறேன். சிறு வயது முதலே வாசிப்பில் ஆர்வம் உண்டு. சிராங்கூன் டைம்ஸ் இதழில் முதல் கதை வெளியானது. சிங்கப்பூரின்  தங்கமீன் கலை இலக்கிய வட்டம்,  கவிமாலை, சிங்கப்பூர் தமிழ் எழுத்தாளர் கழகம் சொல்லாடும் முன்றில் போன்ற அமைப்புகளில் இணைந்து கதை கவிதைகள் எழுதவும் செய்கிறேன். தங்கமுனை போட்டியில் பங்கேற்றதில் எனது கதை இருமுறை கௌரவக் குறிப்பிடல் தகுதியைப் பெற்றது.

I have resided in Singapore for the past 15 years. I have had a deep interest in reading and Tamil literature since I was young. The first story I ever wrote was published in the Serangoon Times Magazine. I have been writing poems and stories for Thangameen Kalai Ilakkiya Vattam (தங்கமீன் கலை இலக்கிய வட்டம்), Kavimaalai, the Singapore Tamil Writers’ Association, and many other literary organisations. I received an Honourable Mention for my story in the Golden Point Award competition as well.

Thiruselvam Ayasamy (Tamil Fiction)

1993-இல் ஒரு பத்து வயதுச் சிறுவனாய் திருச்செல்வம், சிங்கப்பூர் கல்வி அமைச்சின் ‘கேட்டல் கருத்தறிதல்’ நாடகங்கள் மூலம் பின்னணிக் குரல் கலைஞராக, தன் தமிழ் மொழிப் பயணத்தைத் தொடங்கினார். பல மேடை, தொலைக்காட்சி மற்றும் வானொலி நாடகங்களில் நடித்து, இவர் சிங்கப்பூரின் முதல் சிறுவர் நாடகம் தமிழில் உருவாக வழியமைத்தார். இவர் தொடர்ந்து உள்ளுர் தொலைக்காட்சி நாடகங்களுக்கு வசனம் எழுதுவதோடு, தேசிய அமைச்சுகளின் காணொளி தயாரிப்புகளின் மொழிப்பெயர்ப்புப் பணியிலும் ஈடுபாடு கொண்டுள்ளார். 2024-இல், சிங்கப்பூர் எழுத்தாளர் கழகம் நடத்திய முத்தமிழ் விழாவில் “மாற்றம்” என்ற சிறுகதையினை எழுதி ஊக்கப் பரிசினைப் பெற்ற இவர், அவர்கள் நடத்தும் கதைக்களம் சிறுகதைப் போட்டிகளிலும் பரிசுகள் பெற்றுள்ளார்.

In 1993, a ten-year-old Thiruselvam began his Tamil language journey as a voiceover artist for Singapore Ministry of Education’s audio dramas. Thiru went on to act in numerous stage, TV, and radio productions and helped pave the way for Singapore's first local Tamil children's drama. Today, he scripts local television dramas and translates content for national ministries. In 2024, his short story "Maatram" won an encouragement prize at the Association of Singapore Tamil Writers' Muthamizh Vizha, alongside awards in their Kathaikkalam short story competitions.

Meira Chand (English Fiction)

Meira Chand is the 2023 recipient of the Cultural Medallion, Singapore’s highest cultural accolade. She is of Indian-Swiss heritage and was born and educated in London. Before coming to Singapore in 1997, she lived for many years in Japan and also India, and is now a Singaporean citizen. She has a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Western Australia and is the authorof 9 novels and a collection of short stories. Her novel about pre-Independence Singapore, A Different Sky, was a book of the month choice by the UKbookshop chain Waterstones, long listed for the IMPAC Dublin literary award 2012, and was on Oprah Winfrey’s recommended reading list. The hit Singapore stage production, LKY: The Musical, was developed from her original story.

Prasanthi Ram (English Fiction)

Prasanthi Ram is a writer, lecturer and editor. Her debut Nine Yard Sarees (2023) won the Singapore Literature Prize for English Fiction in 2024, and was shortlisted for SLP's Best Debut and Singapore Book Awards' Best Literary Work. In 2025, she was selected as a writer-in-residence under the NAC-NLB Writers Lab, where she began developing her sophomore novel. Her writing can be found in the Best New Singaporean Short Stories series (2022; 2025) and Making Kin: Ecofeminist Essays (2021) among others. Currently, she teaches academic writing at Nanyang Technological University, and is the co-founder and fiction editor of Mahogany Journal that spotlights South Asian writers born or based in Singapore.

林高 Lin Gao (Chinese Fiction)

林高是新加坡国立大学中文系兼任高级讲师（2018-2024）。2013年赴韩国参加为期三个月的Toji文化馆驻馆作家计划。2014年获新加坡文学奖（小说）。2015年获颁新加坡文化奖。他的作品包括《一只飞行的水晶》、《记得》、《孤独瞭望：英培安小说世界》、《林高微型小说》、《遇见诗》、《框起人间事》、《被追逐的滋味》等。2023年出版了首部诗集《一只飞行的水晶》以及英译版。

Lin Gao was an adjunct senior lecturer at the Department of Chinese Studies at the National University of Singapore from 2018 to 2024. In 2013, Lin Gao spent three months in South Korea as a writer-in-residence under the Toji Cultural Residency programme. He was awarded the Cultural Medallion in 2015. His notable works include The Feeling of Being Chased, Reading by the Window, Flash Fiction by Lin Gao, Poetic Encounter by Lin Gao, and Framing the Worldly Matters. His first poetry anthology and its English translation, A Flying Crystal, was published in 2023.

随庭 Sui Ting (Chinese Fiction)

随庭曾获新加坡金笔奖、新华青年文学奖以及青年艺术家奖，首部短篇小说集《孕鱼》入围新加坡文学奖。目前任教于新加坡国立大学中文系，开设创意写作课程。她创办了线上文学平台“读写岛计划”，也曾多次担任教育部创意写作导师、文学比赛评审，并受邀参与新加坡作家节及早报文学节。

Sui Ting is a recipient of the Golden Point Award, the Singapore Chinese Youth Literature Award, and the Young Artist Award. Her debut short story collection, Fish Birth, was shortlisted for the Singapore Literature Prize. Currently teaching creative writing at the National University of Singapore’s Department of Chinese Studies, she is the founder of the literary platform "Read Write Island." She has frequently served as a mentor for the Ministry of Education, a literary judge, and a featured guest at the Singapore Writers Festival and Lianhe Zaobao Literary Festival.

ரமா சுரேஷ் Rama Suresh (Tamil Fiction)

ரமா சுரேஷ் சிங்கப்பூரை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்ட தமிழ் நாவலாசிரியரும் சிறுகதை எழுத்தாளரும் ஆவார். மனித வாழ்வின் இருண்ட, மறைமுகமான, அதிர்ச்சியூட்டும் அனுபவங்களை அவர் படைப்புகள் ஆராய்கின்றன. ரகசியம், மர்மம், இருள் ஆகியவை அவரது எழுத்தின் இயல்பான கூறுகளாக விளங்குகின்றன.
2019ஆம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கிய மாயா இலக்கிய வட்டம் மூலம் சிங்கப்பூர் தமிழ் இலக்கிய உரையாடல்களை அவர் தொடர்ந்து முன்னெடுத்து வருகிறார். சிங்கப்பூர் எழுத்தாளர் விழாவில் (2022–2025) பேச்சாளர், ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் எனச் செயல்பட்டுள்ளார். 2024ல் சிங்கப்பூர் இலக்கியப் பரிசுக்கான புனைகதைத் தலைமை நீதிபதியாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார். 2025ல் சிங்கப்பூர் புத்தக கவுன்சிலின் எழுத்தாளர் வழிகாட்டல் திட்டத்தில் வழிகாட்டியாக பணியாற்றினார். Woodlands Street 81, Ambaram ஆகிய நூல்களின் ஆசிரியரான இவர், Singapore Literature Prize, Mu. Ku. Ramachandran Memorial Award கரிகாற் சோழன் விருது உள்ளிட்ட பல விருதுகளை பெற்றுள்ளார்.

Rama Suresh is a Singapore-based Tamil novelist and short story writer. Through the Maya Literary Circle, founded in 2019, she has been actively fostering critical conversations around Singapore Tamil literature. She has participated in the Singapore Writers Festival (2022–2025) as a speaker and curator. In 2024, she was appointed Chief Judge (Fiction) for the Singapore Literature Prize, and in 2025, she served as a mentor for the Singapore Book Council’s Emerging Writers Mentorship Programme. She is the author of Woodlands Street 81 and Ambaram, and a recipient of several literary honours including the Singapore Literature Prize, the Mu. Ku. Ramachandran Memorial Award, and the Karikaar Cholan Award.
