All writers and readers begin with their first book, exchanging their most beautiful souls for the most heartfelt words to create countless universes.
The “(My) First Book” initiative was launched by City Book Room (CBR) in 2022 with the aims of publishing the first books of promising local writers. This year, CBR is collaborating with SBC to promote the 3rd edition of the "My First Book" project, where in addition to publishing first books, programmes and workshops will be held to share insights on professional content editing, typesetting design, and other aspects of the book production process.
The editor-in-chief of the initiative is local award-winning writer Wong Koi Tet.
