New Sing Lit Releases
New Sing Lit Releases is a dedicated monthly newsletter to spotlight upcoming Sing Lit titles across genres and the four official languages (English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil). This curated newsletter aims to amplify visibility for Singaporean authors and reach a wider community of readers. It is part of SBC’s commitment to platform and celebrate Singapore’s rich and diverse literary scene.
All printed literary works (with ISBN) by a Singapore citizen or permanent resident are eligible. Works can be in any literary genre, from poetry to fiction, creative nonfiction, comics/graphic novels, middle grade, young adult and picture books across the four official languages of Chinese, English, Malay and Tamil.

Your submission has to be sent in by the 20th of each month to be included in our newsletter for the following month.

2. What is considered Sing Lit?
Books authored by a Singapore citizen or permanent resident qualify as Sing Lit.
3. Do works by overseas Singaporean authors quality?
Yes, as long as they hold a Singaporean citizenship or permanent residence status.
4. Do e-books qualify?
No. The work needs to be published in physical book format with ISBN.
5. Who can submit?
Anyone can submit a new Sing Lit Release, as long as they have the necessary info (see next question).
6. What do I need to submit?
You will need:
- Book Title
- Author/Illustrator/Translator/Editor (for anthologies)
- Short Synopsis (30 words or fewer)
- Book Cover
- Book ISBN
- Release Date
- Publisher
- Genre
- Book page link (e.g. where to buy/book launch page)
Not all submissions are guaranteed a feature. SBC reserves the right to determine final selections at its sole discretion.
7. How do I submit?
Submissions can be completed online here.
8. How many books can I submit?
There is no limit to the number of books you can submit.
9. When do I need to submit by?
Please submit the work by the 20th of each month, for it to be considered for inclusion in our newsletter for the following month e.g. Submit by 20th July to be included in our August newsletter.
10. When will the newsletter be sent out?
It will be sent out on the 1st of each month.
