大哥也從檳城飛來準備後事，但母親說她不肯來雅加達，就由大哥代表。父親留下富可敵國的財產，雅加達的家很擔心分家的事，大哥帶來母親的消息說，母親什麼都不要，只要父親的骨灰回到檳城。父親在雅加達的家人聽罷大喜，父親過世後，喪事簡辦，很快地就將父親火化，骨灰讓大哥和老黃帶回檳城。
母親早已用了自己生平積蓄的一半，在檳城後山的一座墓園買了兩個靈骨塔的位子，一個是父親的，一個是她自己的。
終於到了最後，父親還是回到她的身邊。

很大部份是在Covid期间完成，Covid时有很多孤独的时刻，适合写作。
I finished most of this work during Covid. There were a lot of lonely moments during Covid, good for writing.
