The Child Made of White Paper
The Child Made of White Paper is Ng Zheng Wei's first collection of poems. It records the poet’s story growing up and features his poems from 2018 to 2022. Aspects of his study, graduation, and daily life are also infused into his poetry. In this unpredictable new era, the poet analyses the various contradictions about beauty and ugliness, right and wrong, personal and collective experiences, before using words to record and reconcile the restlessness he experienced growing up. The child in the poet's heart is as pure as white paper. He hopes that he will be able to tolerate the beauty and grey that life is about to shed.
