Translated texts now appear on lists of top international literary prizes. They have also been linked to ongoing debates about capitalism, cultural appropriation and the legacy of colonialism.  What does it mean for marginalised literatures to be translated into a dominant language, such as English? Who translates and who is translated? What futures can we imagine through the work of translation?

Join us in a conversation with Gopika Jadeja and Alvin Pang as they discuss the place of the translator today, emerging possibilities for translation, and the complex interplay between texts, languages and cultures.
