The Cold War and Southeast Asia: My Life in Journalism
This book is a retrospective of the late veteran journalist Chin Kah Chong's seventy-year career.
From the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Bandung Conference, the Baling Talks, and the separation of Singapore and Malaysia, to the rise, fall, and transformation of the Pan Asia Newspaper Alliance, Chin Kah Chong was present at every news scene and recorded every geopolitical shift. This work is not only an autobiographical account of his career as a journalist but also a history of Asia during the Cold War, told from a Southeast Asian perspective.
