Join us for an inspiring 2-hour session designed to ignite your imagination and uncover the stories hidden in everyday items. This hands-on workshop invites participants to bring (i) a photograph* and (ii) an object of personal significance. Guided by award-winning author Prasanthi Ram, transform these items into the seeds of compelling stories.
This session is a creative rediscovery of memory. Whether it’s a keepsake from your childhood, a snapshot of a meaningful moment, or an item you’ve always found fascinating, you’ll learn how to weave the items together into a strong opening paragraph for a short story.
With practical guidance on openings, characterisation, and descriptive writing, this workshop is perfect for aspiring writers or anyone keen on improving their narrative writing skill.
*Participants should pick a photograph with at least 1 person they know in it, for e.g., an old photograph of their grandparents or a photograph of themselves with friends at a photobooth.
