《远去的硝烟》以“勿忘历史”为主题，收录前新闻工作者刘培芳在上世纪八九十年代实地采访柬埔寨冲突的特稿，以及她对新加坡社会现象的评论。作者也在书中分享了她当年拍下的珍贵照片。每一章还附上一篇作者新近完成的后记，除了忆述当年采访的心路历程，也对当前的局势和前景表达了她的深切关注与期盼。
The Vanishing Memory
The Vanishing Memory is a collection of articles written by a veteran journalist Low Pooi Fong. Divided into two parts, the first section features the Cambodia conflict in the 1980s and 1990s. Alongside Low’s first-hand experience and interviews with Cambodian people, it features photos from that era. The second section provides an insight on Singapore’s social phenomena.

刘培芳
刘培芳，曾担任《南洋商报》、《联合早报》记者、编辑及评论员。1984年以《柬泰边境去来》获《金狮奖》全国文艺创作比赛报告文学奖。曾担任艺术基金会委员、南洋理工大学教育学院及各中学驻校作家。
Low Pooi Fong
Mdm Low Pooi Fong worked as a reporter, editor and columnist for major Chinese newspapers Nanyang Siang Pau and Lianhe Zaobao. She was awarded the Golden Lion Literary Award in 1984. She was also a member of the Arts Fund and an Author-in-Residence at Nanyang Technological University and various secondary schools. She is best known for literary works, such as Deep In My Heart and Low Pooi Fong’s Collected Essays.
