dakota
dakota is a book about childhood nostalgia, which includes 19 prose pieces and illustrations. It is a personal sentimental journey into the past and a collective memory of Singapore’s history. The author was born and grew up in Dakota Crescent in the 1970s. As the once vibrant community has undergone a complete redevelopment, this book hopes to record the many coming-of-age stories with a unique style and take a melancholic glimpse at that place and time.
