In an effort to raise awareness and deepen one’s appreciation for Singapore Literature in the mother tongue languages (Chinese, Malay and Tamil), My Sing Lit presents a series of literary events to encourage Singaporeans to ‘Read Our World’. Commissioned by Sing Lit: Read Our World, an industry-led year-round movement that celebrates stories from Singapore, Singapore Book Council presents My Sing Lit to showcase a variety of literary events and activities for the young and old to explore, embrace and enjoy the written stories by our homegrown writers.

Persembahan melalui Teater Digital (Digital Theatre Performance)
PUISIRAMA 2021 mengupas tiga kuntum puisi: Angkara Gelimang Dadah karya Faridah Taib, Topeng karya Khaziah Yem dan Nyonya Muda karya Kamaria Buang; dan kesemuanya kemudian diadaptasikan ke pentas teater oleh para pemuisinya sendiri. Pengarah Azman Shariff, Amirul Asri dan Roslan Daud menggarap dan menterjemahkan setiap puisi menerusi watak-watak yang dicipta dalam analisa teater. Hasilnya membuahkan kesinambungan tiga genre seni yang berbeza interpretasinya, tetapi menepati sasaran dan mesej yang utuh serta memelihara keindahan puisi dan tujuannya.

由南华潮剧社、杨启霖潮州文化研究中心及新加坡书籍理事会联合呈献的《找到了!》短片以同名绘本为蓝本创作,寓教于乐,童趣十足。此短片配合“Sing Lit 本土阅读 ”活动推出,并获得国家艺术理事会及中华语言文化基金协力支持。
在《找到了!》短片中,主人翁恬恬和阿德将带领观众一起探索传统华族戏曲的台前幕后。通过本地绘画家黄淑萍的手绘水彩画,短片也会介绍华族戏曲中的化妆步骤、服饰道具和乐器等,从而带出华族戏曲的文化精髓。短片除了希望能传承新加坡华族戏曲的文化知识,也让我们同时能够进一步去发掘和认识中华戏曲的精彩世界。

Be drawn into the richness and beauty of the traditional art form with the vivid hand-drawn illustrations of local illustrator Ng Sock Peng. Follow Chinese opera artists Tiang and Teck’s footsteps into the rarely-seen backstage of a Chinese opera.
Observe the step-by-step procedure as actors prepare their elaborate makeup, the various musical instruments and stage props. Take a nostalgic glimpse into the culture of traditional Chinese opera!
This video is co-presented with Nam Hwa Opera, Yeo Khee Lim Teochew Culture Research Centre and Singapore Book Council; organised as part of Sing Lit: Read Our World movement and supported by National Arts Council and Chinese Language and Culture Fund.

梁海彬 是文字工作者,亦是剧场工作者。他的文字创作往往以资料蒐集为本,从社会议题和人性状态出发,然后以不同的文学载体(小说、散文、诗歌、剧评、剧本)呈现创作。著有散文集《房间絮語》和短篇小说集《大海的人》。
About the facilitator:
Neo Hai Bin is currently a writer and a theatre practitioner. His literary practice involves research works in social issues and the human condition, which then translates into different forms of literary expressions: scripts, prose, critiques or short stories.

新加坡新锐绘本作、画家李文良(Josef Lee)从2008年起便着手创作属于成人的童话故事,在网上分享创作,至今已经累积了18 篇绘本故事。Josef 的画风及题材多元,但唯一不变的是他的创作中总是饱含着丰富的情感,充满着细腻的人生观察。
在2016年,因为作品《Wake Me Up at Happyland》在网上暴红,Josef 过后并以群众幕资的方式出版了第一本绘本。这本绘本随后也推出了中文版本,2017年底也出版改编小说版本。另一个作品《The Boy Who Caught The Sea》也在中国以《抓住大海的男孩》无字绘本的形式推出,成为了"几米漫画公众号"力荐作品。这个作品也将被改编为一个"儿童舞台剧",在中国个大城市演出。
About the facilitator:
Josef Lee is a Singaporean picture-book writer / artist and his illustrated short stories have been shared online on his blog, 'Josef Lee's Bedtime Stories for Adults' since 2008. Till date, he has created 18 picture-stories.
In April 2017, Josef successfully published his first picture-book-'Wake Me Up At Happyland' via a crowdfunding campaign. Since then, his works have attracted the attention of various publishers from Taiwan and China. Within 2 years, he has published a total of 9 picture-books and 1 novel adaptation. Another of his work is currently being adapted into a children's play in China, and slated to be performed all around China.

敏宝是一名剧场工作,参与演出和教学工作。曾参演多部儿童剧,如小问号系列(《小问号和探险家》、《小问号和没名字》、《小问号和移山人》)《我要上天的那一晚》,也参与实践剧场“儿歌新唱计划“的表演者,给小朋友讲故事唱儿歌。敏宝目前也在新加坡各大中小学和组织做教学工作,并致力于教导与推广儿童戏剧教育。
About the facilitator:
Mun Poh is a theatre practitioner, performer and educator. She has been in many TYA(Theatre of Young Audiences) productions such as The wee Question Mark series, Day I Met the Prince, ImmortalX among others. She is also a performer and storyteller in The Nursery Rhymes Project under The Theatre Practice. As strong advocate for children’s drama education, she performed and taught in many schools and organizations in Singapore.

About the session:
Follow Wong Koi Tet, the author of Little Things(小东西), to navigate through the material
sensibilities of our daily lives. In this two-hours workshop, Wong Koi Tet will share his
experiences in Chinese prose-writing and how to transform mundane objects into literary
themes. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own little things and collectively
explore the hidden stories within them.
导师简介:
黄凯德,48岁,目前为南洋理工大学中文系兼职讲师,主要教授现代文学和创意写作的相关课程。自新加坡国立大学毕业,后来获得南大硕士文凭,过去在报馆任职记者长达7年。曾与友人开办影视制作公司,并常为本地报章杂志撰写专栏。2015年获选成为南大中文系驻校作家,2020年获得新加坡文学奖(小说类与非小说类)。现已出版的作品包括:《跳死为止。》(文集,1995年)、《修订版》(诗集,1996年)、《代志》(散文与短篇小说集,2004年)、《又暗又光亮》(文化评论集,2015年)、《三四行》(半诗集,2016年)、《dakota》(地方散文书写,2018)、《豹变》(短篇小说集,2019)。
About the facilitator:
Wong Koi Tet, 48, is currently a part-time lecturer with NTU Chinese department teaching modern Chinese literature and creative writing courses. Graduated BA from NUS and MA from NTU, he was previously a journalist with the local Chinese newspaper for 7 years and has been writing in different literary genres since his junior college years. Appointed as the NTU-NAC Writer-in-residence in the first half of 2015, he has published seven books: Till Death, We Dance (prose collection, 1995), Revised Edition (poetry, 1996), Incidents (prose and short-story collection, 2004), So Dark The Brightness (socio-cultural essays, 2015), Three or Four Lines (poetic verse collection, 2016), dakota (local chronicle, 2018), Black Panther (short-story collection, 2019). He won the Singapore Literary Prize in both fiction and non-fiction categories in 2020.
