The inaugural Beyond Words Mentorship is for writers who work in Chinese, Malay and Tamil seeking to develop their manuscript for children aged 8 to 12 years. It offers writers a chance to refine their manuscript under the guidance of a published author and to gain a better understanding of the children’s book industry through sessions with industry experts.
Over the course of three months, three Chinese writers, four Malay writers and three Tamil writers worked with experienced mentors to craft a total of 10 children's books in the Chinese, Malay and Tamil languages.
