SPH-NAC Golden Point Award (SPH-NAC GPA)
Organised by the National Arts Council since 1993, the biennial writing competition invites entries in the categories of short story and poetry. In its search for emerging and new creative writing talents in Singapore, the competition is open to unpublished writers who have not yet published a solo work – though writers who have been published in journals or anthologies will still be eligible to enter. Open to all Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, participants may write on any subject or theme.
Winners
NBDCS Book Awards
The NBDCS Book Awards were inaugurated in 1972 to mark the International Year of the Book and were first made in 1976. The aim of the Award is to encourage and develop Singapore literary talent and to give recognition to excellence in writing.
The Awards were for the best works by Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, published in Singapore or abroad, in any of Singapore's four official languages: Malay, Chinese, Tamil and English.
