Secondhand Books is a free online auction service. It is the only free auction service which handles second hand books of various genres. You can buy, sell or swap your books live online. The plan for our website was derived when we decided to sell some of our books collected both overseas and in Singapore, and after a long survey of the Internet, could not find a suitable website which catered to our needs. Most of the services provided required us to pay a fee to sell our books. Other “free” websites do not have the appeal factor. Thus, we decided to take the matter into our own hands with the creation of our Secondhand Books Auction Service. Our mission is to take the fees out of auction website, concentrate only on one main item and to encourage members to use this service with full benefit and no hidden costs!

Secondhand Books was built to promote literacy but an important side issue is the raising of awareness for our environment. When used books are sold and circulated we reduce wastage and its impact on the environment. If you don’t plan to recycle your old books, then auction or swap them on our website and let someone else enjoy them.
